Statement of Faith

Matthew 16:16; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 & John 3:16-17

…there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. That Jesus is Christ the only

begotten Son of God our Lord and Savior. (No Creed but CHRIST; No Book but the BIBLE; No Name but the Devine

Name (CHRISTIAN) meaning “follower of CHRIST”.

… that every person has worth as a creation of God, but that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

Romans 3:23, 7: 18, Genesis 2:7

​

… that forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord.

John 3:16-17, 1 st Corinthians 2: 2-5

​

… that those accepting Christ must repent of sin (acknowledging their sin and turning away from their sin) and confess their faith in Jesus, the Resurrected Christ.

…that the Bible is the only inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God, containing God’s will for our lives. The

Bible is our guide for faith and practice. Therefore, we pattern our congregation after the example of the New Testament church.

…that the Church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit and exists to save the lost and edify the saved.

… in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and

atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory, reigning forever as King of kings and Lord of lords.

… that the terms of membership in the church are the same as the terms of salvation (faith in Christ, confession of the Resurrected Christ as Lord, and repentance of sins) and baptism into Christ by immersion.

 

… we must persevere / continue in the Faith (Spiritual act of worship), growing in our service to, and knowledge of,

God. Romans 12: 1-2, 1 st Corinthians 2:2-5, 4:1

 

… that the Body of Christ should assemble on the Lord’s Day to share in the Lord’s Supper for it’s a memorial with the specified purposes of bringing to mind the sacrifice Christ made to atone for our sins whereby He instituted a New Covenant in His blood; and to corporately testify of the Resurrection and the belief that Christ will return just as He said.

…that the institution of marriage is between one biological man and one biological woman as defined in Genesis 2:23-24 and supported in Genesis 2:18 and Genesis 2:20. Marriage is further defined in 1 st Corinthians Chapter 7 and Ephesians 5:22-23, 25. As biblical principles that form a framework for a God blessed marriage, reference Ephesians 5:22-33 and Romans 1:20-32.
